 Rui — Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

 In the Demon Slayer universe, Rui is Lower Moon Five—the spider demon of Mount Natagumo, and one of the most prominent antagonists from the beginning of the series. Behind his cruelty lies a tragedy: that of a sickly child transformed by Muzan, who gained strength at the cost of his humanity, and who never stopped searching for what he had lost—a family. He forcibly recreated one, terrorizing other demons into playing the roles of parents and sisters, mistaking fear for love. Rui embodies the pain of a being who simply wanted to no longer be alone.

 The figurine highlights the character's unique aesthetic. Standing in a light-colored kimono adorned with spiderweb motifs , cinched with a red obi, she embodies all the arachnid imagery that defines her cursed family. The woven threads, the pale colors, the frozen silhouette create a piece with a disturbing atmosphere, somewhere between a doll and a specter. To display it is to keep close the demon whose greatest weapon was also his greatest weakness: this consuming need to belong to a family.
