Its massive blade , engraved with dark patterns that run along the steel, opens at its heart to reveal a hexagonal cut—as if the metal itself had been shaped by a hand that was not human. The reddish-brown scale guard , the scarlet gem that throbs at its center, the braided organic grip: everything evokes an ancient power, bordering on the regal and the savage. This is not a ceremonial weapon. It is a weapon of a warrior king.
