 On the Continent, the most precious weapons guard the strangest places. The Confuso lay dormant in the Valley of Joy, in the heart of the Faces —that nightmarish landscape where painting folds in on itself—under the watchful eye of a Contortionist. It must be sought out where reality twists. Nothing the Expedition obtains comes without a price.

 The blade is imbued with light . Slender, crafted in a Belle Époque aesthetic tinged with the uncanny—elegant lines, goldsmith-like precision—it combines grace with a paradoxical cruelty. For this light does not comfort: it burns . Each critical blow ignites the flesh, and the more perfect strikes the fighter unleashes, the more the conflagration spreads. The Confuso rewards audacity and luck, the hand of the one who strikes swiftly and accurately.

 For this sword embodies the contradiction at the heart of the Continent: that light, too, can consume.
