 Introducing the Wukong Staff — Ruyi Jingu Bang | Black Myth: Wukong

 Before becoming the Monkey King's weapon, the Ruyi Jingu Bang was the "Sea Stabilizing Needle" —a black iron pillar planted at the bottom of the Eastern Ocean to measure its depths. Sun Wukong tore it from its pedestal, provoking the Dragon King's fury, and made it an extension of his will. From that day forward, the weapon obeyed his every command—growing, shrinking, and duplicating itself endlessly. When not in use, he reduced it to the size of a needle and tucked it away in his ear.

 In Black Myth: Wukong, the Jingubang is much more than a weapon—it's the thread that runs through the entire adventure. Black iron, banded with gold at each end, bears an inscription engraved in the metal: "Gold-Bound Staff of Good Pleasure. Weight: thirteen thousand five hundred jin." This weight, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, corresponds to the 13,500 breaths a human takes in a single day—thus linking cosmic power to the breath of life. In the game, it is wielded in three distinct stances, each with its own combat rhythm, reflecting the duality of brutality and wisdom that defines the Monkey King.
